So, is this what girls do?
I still feel relatively new to the girl thing sometimes particularly since Megan adapts so easily to boy play (and boy play dominates our house at this point). Megan has been interested in her dolls for a while now, but just recently she has started spending an extended period of time changing her babies diapers each day. Tyler's extended play periods have always been very active and usually involve significant parent participation. I must admit, I am enjoying this diaper changing phase. She is so content as long as I provide her with a couple wipes and a diaper. However, she does also enjoy the active play. For example, here a pictures of her in both phases of play. The first two are when she is busy working on the wall with the drill, the second two are her changing diapers.

Spring Break
I had been eagerly anticipating Spring Break because our lives have seemed so busy lately that I was looking forward to a week without scheduled activities. We didn't have any big vacation plans, but managed to have a great time here at home. Usually, I try to plan lots of fun events for the kids at places we don't always go, but I decided that this week we should just enjoy one another and spend most of our time at home and with friends. One day, we didn't have anywhere we needed to be and Megan was not interested in getting dressed, so I just let her hang out in her pajamas. This was not a big deal to me. However, Tyler was quite distressed that Megan did not get dressed after breakfast like she usually does. Tyler is a routine kid and wants to gets dressed soon after the day begins - complete with shoes and socks. Throughout the morning, he kept asking, "Mommy, why isn't Megan dressed yet?" It was really so cute because he was honestly concerned that she was not following the plan, and that to Tyler is not a good thing. Right before noon we decided to go to Kevin's office for lunch (the kids absolutely love his office because it is basically a playground for them). Tyler was excited about going to see Daddy but he may have been more excited that Megan had to get dressed in order to go. When we got to Kevin's office, Tyler says, "Daddy you won't believe what Megan did today! She wore her pajamas all morning!" That little rebel Megan - if it was just wearing her pajamas that she had a strong opinion about I wouldn't be worried at all...

The family band performs on the infamous pajama day. Notice Tyler's clothes - I love the fact that he doesn't yet understand rivalry. He is sporting his Aggie jersey (from Allie and Pops) with his Texas hoodie (from Mimi and G'Daddy).

Megan performs a solo act.
