Tyler's Christmas Program
Although I am one of the most infrequent bloggers around, I am going to try to catch up...Last year, one of my first posts was about Tyler's Christmas program at school last year. He was a very reluctant paticipant and didn't do much participating in the actual program. We were proud of him for making it down the aisle to the front of the chapel - that was the extent of his participation. We were very proud of him for being present in the program, because he was so apprehensive about it. What a difference a year makes! Tyler's program this year was in the Sanctuary not the chapel and he was so excited about it he talked about it for weeks. He decided he wanted to be Joseph (the parts are just the costumes and places on the floor, not speaking roles). I was shocked by the dramatic behavior shift, but he has matured tremendously over the last year, so I thought this was probably the realy thing. So if we were proud of him for just standing in front of the chapel last year, you can begin to imagine how proud we were when he walked out confidently, took his place next to Mary (his good friend Lily), and sang all the words to 10! songs. He enjoyed every second of it an it was such a joy to watch. Unfortunately, I don't have good pictures of it because I was too busy with the video camera. Here is one picture of the program. He is seated behind the crazy "animals."
