Heroes Air Show

Last month, we happened upon a great event. I had seen signs for an Air Show at Camp Mabry but didn't give it much thought having been to an air show in my childhood remembering it was loud and boring (in my opinion). However, on the Saturday morning news, we saw a blurb for the event which said there would be multiple helicopters there and every other kind of emergency vehicle. The most enticing information was that you could climb into all the helicopters and other vehicles. It was a very hands on event. We decided to try it out and had the greatest time. I think Kevin and I enjoyed it as much as the kids did. Not only did we climb in multiple Star Flight helicopters, we also toured Blackhawks (and saw one land right in front of us) and other military copters. The kids had a great time and all the personnel were very patient and accomodating.

Megan was eager to get in and go, while it took Tyler and minute to warm up. Here they are in a Star Flight Helicopter.

Let's hope this is as close as they get to riding a real motorcycle...ever!

Bluebonnet Pictures

With the unexpected freeze, we almost missed out on the bluebonnet pictures again, but thankfully, this patch still looked good. It also happened to be at Camp Mabry (where we went to see all the helicopters which I will post about later). Please excuse the format on the last post - I don't know how to fix it.

Catching Up

After a month long hiatus, I am remembering that catching up is always a challenge because I never know where to begin. It has been a busy month so here are some pictures to bring you up to speed on what has been going on with us.

Megan strikes a pose in her boots that her cousin Alli gave to her.

This is at the preschool Last Blast where there were tons of activities to enjoy. The cupcake walk was quite a hit with our two (and friend Ben Jones)

Tyler actually enjoys a pony ride.
