Dinosaur Mania
At school recently, Tyler's class did a unit on dinosaurs which has unleashed Tyler's newest obsession. He has really gotten into dinosaurs and everything he can possibly learn about them. Since there wasn't school on Friday, I decided to take the kids to The Dinosaur Park in Bastrop (www.thedinopark.com). While we were there, I had one of those moments in parenting. As Tyler is telling me about the Iguanadon, the Ankylosaurus, and many other dinosaurs, I was reminded of the movie Parenthood when Rick Moranis teaches his daughter all sorts of random age-inappropriate facts because "their brains are like sponges." I have seen Tyler do things like this before but it never ceases to amaze me. He can pronounce the dinosaur names with much more ease than Kevin or I do, not to mention all the facts he knows about each one. Here are some pictures of the kids and their encounter with the T-Rex.

What a great experience! You're such an amazing mom to celebrate Tyler's interests. :)
