Friends

How can so much time have passed since college? It is hard to believe but when I look at our life now verses our lives then, it begins to come into perspective. Before you know it, years have passed without seeing some of those dear friends. Sunday night, three of my wonderful friends were all in town so we met for dinner. So much has happened since the four of us were last together. Each of us has had at least one child, we have all moved (I am the only one that didn't change cities, and one of us has been to Turkey and back). There was plenty to catch up on. So, after the hostess politely recommended we sit outside (she could tell we might be a little loud just from the initial excitement of seeing one another), we spent hours catching up on families, kids, jobs, and just enjoyed each other's company. It was just another reminder of how thankful I am for all of my friends, those that I see everyday and those that I can go years without seeing and pick up as if no time has passed.
