Sports Day is Thursday and Friday of this week. Friday they sell all sorts of treats to the kids (much like I remember it being on Sports Day). They are selling tickets all week and we haven't bought ours yet. As we passed the ticket booth this morning, Tyler asks, "Mom can you get me $5 worth of tickets (which is far more than he needs), so in case someone in my class doesn't have any I can give them some?" My response, of course we can. Who could say no to such a request?
I am sure Kevin and I are not the only parents who sometimes wonder if the messages we try to teach and model will get through to our kids. This morning, my heart swelled with pride for my thoughtful, caring son. What a great kid!
